Privacy Policy — Namaz

This Privacy Policy explains how the Namaz app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

We built Namaz to respect your privacy. We do not sell your data, we do not use third‑party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we collect only what is needed for the App to work.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Location data

With your permission, the App uses your device location to:

• Calculate accurate prayer times for your area;
• Determine the Qibla (direction to the Kaaba);
• Find nearby mosques and show walking/driving routes.

Your location is used on your device to compute prayer times and Qibla. For the Nearby Mosques feature, your approximate coordinates are sent to mapping services (see Section 3) only to retrieve nearby places and routes. We do not store your location on our own servers.

You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. The App remains usable; you can set your city manually for prayer times.

1.2 Camera

With your permission, the camera is used only for the augmented‑reality Qibla view. Camera images are processed live on your device and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

1.3 Photo Library

If you choose to save a Qibla image, the App requests permission to add that image to your photo library. We do not read or access your existing photos.

1.4 Account information (optional)

If you choose to sign in to sync your data, you may sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign‑In. In that case we receive and store, through our authentication provider:
