Welcome to the support page for Namaz, your companion for prayer times, Qibla direction, tasbih, and Qaza (missed prayer) tracking.
If you need help, found a bug, or have a suggestion, we’re happy to hear from you.
We aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
Why are my prayer times slightly different from my local mosque? Prayer times are calculated astronomically using the open‑source Adhan library. Small differences are normal because mosques may use a different calculation method or madhab. You can change the calculation method and madhab in Settings to match your local authority.
Can I use the app without sharing my location? Yes. If you deny location access, you can set your city manually in Settings and still get prayer times.
How do I change the calculation method? Go to Settings → Calculation Method and choose the one used by your local Islamic authority.
I’m not receiving prayer reminders. Make sure notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Notifications → Namaz, and that reminders are turned on in the app’s Settings. Also check that Focus / Do Not Disturb is not silencing them.
The Qibla compass is inaccurate. Calibrate your device by moving it in a figure‑8 motion, and move away from metal objects or magnets. Make sure Location Services and Compass calibration are enabled in iOS Settings.
How do I back up or sync my Qaza records? Sign in with Apple or Google in the app. Your Qaza prayer records are then securely synced to the cloud and can be restored on another device.
